Knicks' Amar'e Stoudemire Out for Game 3 and Beyond

It’s never easy when you get hurt and can’t help your team, especially during the playoffs. But, it must hurt that much more when your injury was self inflicted and the result of acting like an idiot.

Yep, we’re talking about New York Knicks big man Amar’e Stoudemire. You probably heard that Monday night after another loss to the Miami Heat, he decided to punch a fire extinguisher outside of the locker room. He cut his hand up pretty good, and according to Al Iannazzone from Newsday, he’ll miss Game 3 and most likely the rest of the series against the Heat (let’s be honest, he’s done for the year).

“Amare is seeing a hand specialist right now. He won’t play in Game 3 and a return this series is doubtful,” Iannazzone tweets.

Well done, Amar’e. The good news is that the Knicks seem to play better without him.
