Early Sunday morning, New York Knicks point guard Jason Kidd was arrested in Southampton Town, NY for driving drunk.
Kidd, the Knicks' most high-profile free agent acquisition thus far this summer, crashed his 2010 Cadillac Escalade into a telephone pole near his Hamptons home while returning from “a benefit for R&B singer Ne-Yo’s Compound Foundation, a nonprofit founded to empower and inspire kids in foster care and group homes.”
He was taken to a hospital before eventually being arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge.
Over the past 24 hours, several great photos have emerged showing Kidd in various stages of drunkenness. It looks like he had a fun time. Ne-Yo knows how throw a solid party, apparently.

Earlier in the week, Kidd inked a 3-year, $9 million deal with New York. He was supposed to, in theory, serve as a mentor of sorts to Jeremy Lin. Given recent events, though, it appears as though that’s not going to happen.
