The Lakers just wrapped up one of the worst seasons in franchise history, but that didn’t stop a local restaurant from celebrating the team's playoff run. Wait, what?
The Upper West restaurant in Santa Monica posted an ad in today’s LA Times saying “The Upper West restaurant would like to congratulate the Los Angeles Lakers on an amazing playoff run.”

I’m guessing they were trolling the Kobes, but this is funny nonetheless. It’s funny because one: the obvious, and two: even when the Clippers make the playoffs and the Lakers are horrible, local businesses still buy advertisements about the Lakers. Such is life as the second-class team in LA.
