ESPN’s superstar NBA analyst Jalen Rose has been sentenced to 20 days in jail for drunken driving by a Michigan judge.
Rose was arrested for a drunken driving crash on a snowy Detroit rode back in March. When speaking to Bloomfield Hills District Court Judge Kimberly Small about the incident, the former University of Michigan talent admitted that he drank six martinis on the night of his accident. He also tested to a blood-alcohol content of .12 percent on the night in question.
The judge sentenced Rose to 92 days in jail, with all but 20 suspended. He was also sentenced to a year of probation.
Rose played for the infamous Michigan Fab Five over the course of his storied college career, 13 seasons in the NBA, and currently serves as an analyst for ESPN. He frequently appears on ESPN TV shows like SportsCenter, 1st and 10 and SportsNation, as well as an assortment of ESPN Radio properties.
