Video: Robin Lopez Drills Blake Griffin During Suns vs. Clippers

| by Alex Groberman

Over the last two years, Blake Griffin has made a habit of putting opposing defenders on posters. As this season has progressed, guys have become noticeably irritated with that fact, and it’s gotten to point where they are now getting overly physical with him in order to make a.) the necessary defensive stop and/or b.) a statement.

It happened again during Thursday night’s game between the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns. In the third quarter of that showdown, Griffin seemed poised for one of his signature high-flying jams when he got absolutely rocked by Sideshow Bob look-a-alike, Robin Lopez.

Check it out:

Even though Lopez got ejected for that hit, the Suns wound up winning the game 93-90. Make of that what you will.

(Kudos to SB Nation for the video)
