Video: This Enthusiastic Youngster Was the Best Thing About Clippers vs. Grizzlies Game 2

| by Alex Groberman

Every single basketball game has its heroes. In Sunday’s showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies, that hero was Reggie Evans. In Tuesday night’s game between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks, it was Paul Pierce’s turn. The same night, in a showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets, Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum shared hero honors.

So again, every game has its heroes. That's not up for debate.

A hero doesn’t always to be a player, though.

Case in point: Wednesday night’s battle between the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers gave birth to a new breed of hero. An inspirational figure who, in one enthusiastic fist pump, epitomized the way basketball fans everywhere felt at that very moment.

Hopefully this brave youngster gives birth to a new breed of courtside basketball fans. Out with the sexy, dougie-ing super models, in with the exuberant adolescent who will probably one day get scammed by Sarah Phillips.

We salute you, kid. Whoever you are.
