DeAndre Jordan offered up an early candidate for 2013 Dunk of the Year on Sunday night in the Los Angeles Clippers’ 129-97 victory over the Detroit Pistons.
The play came together, as most of L.A.’s plays do, thanks to Chris Paul’s tremendous court vision and patience.
With his team up by 19 points midway through the second quarter, Paul led his squad down the court, eyeing a potential alley-oop lob to Blake Griffin. When that didn’t make itself available, the Clippers’ point guard did the next best thing – he tossed up a perfectly-timed pass to his ultra-athletic center.
Brandon Knight, Dec. 2, 1991-Mar. 3, 2013, was a good sport about it after the fact.
It wasn't in the scouting reports that the clippers threw lobs lol
