The 2012 NBA Draft Lottery is set to take place on Wednesday May 30, at 8:00 p.m. eastern time. As is generally the case at this point in the year, every team participating is counting on the magic balls bouncing their way and ultimately changing the course of their franchise’s future for the better.
Will that actually happen? That remains to be seen.
As we’ve seen on countless occasions, landing a top-tier pick doesn’t mean much. A fair amount of luck and good judgment also plays a pretty significant role in what eventually transpires. That said, if you don't land the first pick, you don't even have the option of experiencing good luck and exercising good judgment.
