2012 NBA Highlights: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Brooklyn Nets (Nov. 5)

| by Alex Groberman

This year the Brooklyn Nets have a new arena, new mascot and tons of new fans. Off the court, this team is unrecognizable this year. On the court, however, they still look like the same old Nets. They barely squeaked out a victory over the hapless Toronto Raptors on Saturday, and then they dropped a game they definitely should won versus the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.

Nikola Pekovic beasted on the Nets’ interior yesterday, finishing with 21 points (on nine-of-15 shooting) and seven rebounds. Andrei Kirilenko and Chase Budinger pitched in 16 points apiece. On the other side, Joe Johnson led the way for Brooklyn with 19 points on eight-of-19 shooting. Deron Williams had 18 points (five-of-12 shooting) and 13 assists.
