The Los Angeles Lakers finally won a game on Sunday night, beating the hapless Deroit Pistons 108-79. A win over Detroit is nothing to write home about, obviously, but when you haven’t beaten anyone since last May, every little W counts.
Dwight Howard had a monster game in this one, racking up 28 points (on 12-of-14 shooting) and seven rebounds in 33 minutes. Metta World Peace had his first good performance of the season, too, pitching in 18 points on (seven-of-11 shooting).
Jonas Jerebko led the way for the Pistons with 18 points off the bench.
