Gordon approached Keselowski following a cool-down lap, but Harvick suddenly pushed Keselowski from behind and the melee began (video below).
"[Keselowski] is a dip s---," Gordon told NASCAR.com. "He gets himself in this position, and he's got to pay the consequences. I'm going to race him the same way he races me but that kind of stuff is just uncalled for."
"We were just racing for the win," stated Keselowski. "I didn't wreck him. Just racing hard, and he left a hole. Everything you watch in racing, you leave a hole, you're supposed to go for it. It closed back up, we made contact. I don't want to ruin anyone's day. I wanted to win the race, and that was our opportunity. Just didn't come together."
According to TheBigLead.com, Jimmie Johnson won the race, his fourth victory at Texas.
