Video: Dario Franchitti Wins 2012 Indianapolis 500; Complete Results

| by Alex Groberman

Dario Franchitti won the Indianapolis 500 for the third time in his career on Sunday afternoon. Franchitti officially put the race away on the final lap when Takuma Sato crashed into the wall while attempting to steal the lead. For a nanosecond it looked as though Sato’s car would crash into Franchitti’s but, ultimately, the eventual winner was able to avoid that one final obstacle.

Franchitti’s teammate, Scott Dixon, finished second.
