Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. may not be much of a hitter, but he’s having an outstanding season in the field for Boston.
Entering today’s games, Bradley is second in the major leagues with 11 outfield assists. Only Oakland’s Yoenis Cespedes has more.
On Friday, Bradley showed the world just how ridiculously strong his arm really is, but he didn’t do it with a flashy on-field highlight. He did it in pregame warm-ups when reporter Gary Striewski challenged Bradley to throw a ball as far as he could from home plate at Fenway. Bradley obliged, and the result was ridiculously impressive.
The 24-year-old outfielder sent the ball soaring over the center field fence over 400 feet away.
