Video: Harry Reid Uses Bryce Harper’s “That’s a Clown Question, Bro” Quote on Capitol Hill

| by Alex Groberman

In case you haven’t heard: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is something of a huge sports fan. When he isn’t enthusiastically spouting off about his local teams during conversations that really have nothing to do with his local teams, he’s working with John McCain to set up boxing governing bodies that wouldn’t address the problems they seem to think would be addressed.

Well, on Tuesday, while answering questions regarding President Barack Obama’s mildly controversial new immigration move, Reid reminded one and all what a huge Washington Nationals fan he is. In response to a query that the majority leader apparently wasn’t especially pleased with, he offered this gem:

"I don't want to answer that question. That's a clown question, bro.”

Reid, of course, was referencing Bryce Harper’s now-infamous quote in response to a reporter who asked the 19-year-old if he would be celebrating a particularly solid outing with a beer.

A little later in the same press conference, Reid proclaimed that President Obama would serve out not one, not two, not three, but four more years as the Commander in Chief.*

The guy clearly knows his sports.

*not really
