Everything was going the Texas Rangers’ way during their 14-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night. Brandon Snyder had a home run and six RBIs (career high) on the day. Michael Young hit a homer and brought in three runs. Josh Hamilton knocked out his 10th home run of the year, too.
It was just that sort of night for the Orioles – who came into the proceedings riding high with a five-game winning streak.
But perhaps no single play epitomized the way that game went for the O’s as much as Snyder’s three-run bomb in the sixth. It’s not that the homer was especially great, it’s what happened to Adam Jones as the talented centerfielder made the play.

His hustle was most definitely not rewarded there. When the walls are working against you, that’s when you know it’s not your night.
