Red Sox Manager Bobby Valentine Involved in Bicycle Crash

| by Alex Groberman

Bobby Valentine’s miserable year got even more miserable on Tuesday when the Boston Red Sox manager, somehow, ended up crashing his bicycle next to the Central Park Reservoir.

According to the New York Times, Valentine sustained minor injuries to his knees and hips, but managed to walk away mostly intact. His pride wasn’t hurt in the accident either – he lost that right around the midpoint of this season.

“I shouldn’t have been reading a text while I was riding,” he said after the fact. “That’s the wrong thing to do. But at least I was wearing my helmet.”

Yup, at least he was wearing his helmet.

It’s almost over, Red Sox fans.
