Former MLB Pitcher Pascual Perez Killed During Robbery

Former major league baseball pitcher Pascual Perez was killed during an armed robbery, multiple sources are reporting.

While the specifics pertaining this incident remain murky at the moment, USA Today is confirming that Dominican Republic officials have acknowledged Perez’s passing.

Perez spent 11 years in the big leagues, clocking in at least a little bit of time with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, Montreal Expos and New York Yankees. He was ultimately suspended in 1992 for violating the MLB’s drug policy.

Over the course of his career he racked up 67 wins (and 68 losses), a 3.44 ERA, and 822 strikeouts.
