Matt Kemp Hits Walk-Off Home Run to Lift Dodgers Past Phillies (Video)

| by Alex Groberman

Matt Kemp is back.

In the 12th inning of Wednesday’s Los Angeles Dodgers versus Philadelphia Phillies showdown, Kemp -- who has struggled with injuries for most of this year -- showed that he can still be counted on in those pressure-filled, tense situations when most players tend to fold.

With the game knotted at 3-3, one out and Mark Ellis just having been walked, Kemp sent Jake Diekman’s pitch straight to the moon – locking up a victory for his squad and silencing the doubters for at least one day.

"I was struggling all day, I had to do something, man," Kemp said after the game. "I think we were all getting a little frustrated and a little tired, but we fought until the end. We got the 'W' and that's all that matters. It feels good to hit that home run. That's the hardest ball I've hit since I've been back (from the disabled list). I feel really good. My legs are getting under me."
