Albert Pujols Falls Victim To Manny Machado's Arm (Again)

| by Jonathan Wolfe

Manny Machado stole another hit from Albert Pujols last night. For the second time in three games, the Orioles young third baseman fielded a groundball from Pujols and made a ridiculous throw to get him out.

The first play happened on Tuesday, in game one of a three game series between the Angels and Orioles.

Pujols hit a sharp ground ball down the third base line, and Machado took over from there:

That’s the kind of play even a gold-glove fielder will only make a few times a year. But, being the defensive stud that he is, Machado pulled off another equally impressive play just two days later.

In the 11th inning of last night’s game, Pujols again smacked a ball down the third base line. Machado made a sweet sno-cone pick on the ball and unleashed a bullet over to Steve Pearce at first base. Pujols’ Manny Machado voodoo doll is probably in the mail as we speak.
