NFL Rumors: Steelers Expect Rashard Mendenhall Will be Ready to Go vs. Eagles?
Pittsburgh Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall tore his ACL last season. So, one could understand that for a while he said that it hurts too much to play football.
Reports have come out the last few weeks that he’s been practicing and apparently looks pretty explosive. Well, now, according to Ed Bouchette of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Mendenhall is officially ready to roll.
“#Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall ready to go Sunday vs. Eagles,” tweets one of the most respected beat writers in all of football.
We’d exercise caution on using Mendenhall in fantasy though. The Steelers offensive line isn’t very good and they’ve struggled to run the ball this season. Plus, it’s his first game back and who knows what kind of a workload he’ll get. And throw on top the fact that the Eagles run defense has been very good this season, and it makes for a risky fantasy play.
Might be the perfect week to watch him and see how he looks.
