The 2012 British Open begins Thursday, July 19 at the Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club, and runs through Sunday, July 22.
While questions regarding whether Tigers Woods is really back or not have divided sports fans over the past six months, oddsmakers apparently have no doubts about his status. Once again, the powers that be have installed Woods as a favorite over his opponents – despite the fact that he hasn’t won a major in four years.
Will Woods break that unfortunate streak at the 141st Open Championship? He certainly hopes so.
"I just try and put myself there," Woods said. "I think that if I continue putting myself there enough times then I'll win major championships."

Currently ranked as the No. 4 golfer in the world – Woods has a chance to reclaim his No. 1 spot if all goes according to plan this week.
