2013 NFL Draft: Florida's Jordan Reed, Josh Evans Sign with Agents
Florida Gators safety Josh Evans is a Senior and tight end Jordan Reed is a Junior, but both have chosen sports agents to represent them at the next level, which means Reed will forego his remaining student-athlete eligibility in favor of pursuing his dreams in the NFL.
Sports Agent Blog learned of Reed’s selection of NFL agent Mike George from an agent who had been in competition for the tight end. While he is ranked high (3rd best at the tight end position by NFLDraftScout.com and a projected 2-3 round pick), Reed still looks pretty raw and has a lot of room to grow. He is more of a project type of pick, but a great signee for George.
Yesterday, it was also reported that safety Josh Evans signed with Malik Shareef of Dimensional Sports.
Florida #Gators safety Josh Evans has signed with Dimensional Sports, Inc. and agent Malik Shareef.
Along with Junior Matt Elam (who has declared for the NFL Draft), the Gators will be losing a couple of special safeties. While Elam is largely considered the best safety in the country, Evans is not far behind.
This is not the first Florida Gators client for Shareef or even the first secondary player for the NFL agent. In fact, Shareef’s big entrance onto the agent scene was when he signed former Gators cornerback Joe Haden, who was then selected with the 7th overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Unfortunately for Shareef, a little over a year-and-a-half after that draft, Haden left the agent for competitor Drew Rosenhaus.Related Content
