Welcome to this week's waiver wire. All recommendations are given with a standard 12-team head-to-head league in mind. If you want more specific suggestions for your league format, use our Quick Fix or shoot me a message on Twitter.

Carson Palmer (QB | Oakland Raiders| 49 percent owned in Y!) Yes, it’s just two-weeks into the season, but among quarterbacks, Palmer is top three in attempts (94), completions (56) and passing yards (670). The Raiders are going to be airing the ball out all season, and once their receivers stop dropping passes, more yards and touchdowns will follow. Palmer is more than just a bye week fill-in, he’s inching towards low-end number one status in 12-team leagues.

Andre Brown (RB | New York Giants | 11 percent owned Y!) With David Wilson in Tom Coughlin’s doghouse, Brown was awarded with most of the Giants’ carries when Ahmad Bradshaw left Sunday’s game with a neck injury. We’re still awaiting the results of Bradshaw’s MRI, but considering he sat out practice Monday and Tuesday, it seems rather unlikely that he’ll be active for Thursday night’s tilt with the Panthers. In leagues that reset their waiver priority each week, I’d have no problem burning a top two claim on Andre Brown, who figures to get a lot touches again in week three.

Mikel Leshoure (RB | Detroit Lions | 35 percent owned Y!) Fresh off a suspension and ready to smoke defenses, Leshoure is the perfect target for owners who may have lost Matt Forte/Fred Jackson or are waiting for Kevin Smith to crack. Word out of Detroit is that Jim Schwartz and company are extremely excited that Leshoure is healthy and look forward to getting him the ball.

Danny Amendola (WE | St. Louis Rams | 48 percent owned in Y!) Amendola leads the NFL in receptions (20) and is second in targets (28) and yards (230) after two-weeks. In points-per-reception formats, Amendola is fantasy gold and an immediate must add should he be on your wire. In standard formats, I may be placing him on the trading block to see what I could get for him.

Brandon LaFell (WR | Carolina Panthers | 33 percent owned in Y!) Already spoke about this guy on a few occasions, so consider this “last call.” He received the most targets and was on the field for the most snaps of any Panther receiver in week two. On the year, LaFell has nine receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown. I’m adding him in all formats and would spend about 15 percent of my FAAB to get him.

For the unfortunate Aaron Hernandez owners:

Kyle Rudolph (TE | Minnesota Vikings | 35 percent owned in Y!) Another name that appeared on our preseason sleeper list and still isn’t getting enough fantasy love. Rudolph has been on the field for each of the Vikings’ 129 offensive plays and has reeled in eight passes on 11 targets for 102 yards and a score. With much of the opponent's pass defense keying on Percy Harvin, look for the Vikings to gradually increase the targets to the 6’6” 260 pound Rudolph going forward. Last call.

Dennis Pitta (TE | Baltimore Ravens | 30 percent owned in Y!) So apparently off-the-field friendships translate into positive on-the-field results? No kidding. There is no secret that Dennis Pitta is on of Joe Flacco’s closest friends on the Ravens and that has pleasantly resulted in Pitta receiving 22 targets (most of any tight end in the NFL) from his buddy. Pitta hauled in 13 of those targets (tied for NFL lead among TEs) for 138 yards and a score. The chemistry is improving on a weekly basis here, don’t miss out on.
