Forum Question: Which QB would you start in Week 6, Michael Vick (@Was) or Eli Manning (vs.Buf)? (view post Layback21‪)

FST_Brent: Last time Vick played the Skins he blew up. Now many ppl are thinking the Skins will not allow that again. I think with Phillys backs against the walls Vick blows up again.

FST_Dustin: Even when Vick has a bad week he still finds ways to get fantasy points. I think the Skins are going to force some turnovers and get some sacks, but Vick is still going to put up some numbers. I don’t mind Eli this week and I think he will do well, but Vick just has too much blowup potential.

FST_Mike: The Redskins have the leagues 8th ranked pass defense and have only allowed three passing TDs. That being said, Vick is a riskier start than normal, however I still think he’s a better start than Eli due to his ability to run the ball. I still think Eli will have a nice game against the Bills so either way you have a decent start.

Forum Question: Whick QB would you start in Week 6, Curtis Painter (@Cin), Alex Smith (@Det), or Sam Bradford (@GB)? (view post daplaymaker‪)

FST_Brent: QB Ratings this year (Rodgers – 1, Brady – 2 , Alex Smith – 3) Now QB rating does not necessary mean he is a fantasy stud but that is pretty amazing. As a bye week replacement I say go Smith.Dustin is higher on Tebow than I am but his upside is certainly there. He can do a ton of damage in on the ground with rushing yards and touchdowns. Here is another fact.Since last year Tebow has five games with one rushing and one passing TD. Aaron Rodgers has the same amount. (and we all know that Rodgers has played in a ton more games) Tebow could be a top ten guy the rest of the way so yes – nice pick-up.

FST_Dustin: Out of these three I am going with Bradford. The Rams are going to be playing from behind, and the Packers pass D is one of the worst in the league.

FST_Mike: For me it is between Smith and Bradford. Painter has had a couple nice games, but chalk most of his fantasy points up to blown coverage. He’ll face his toughest test this week against the Bengals so I would wait and see before starting him. Between Smith and Bradford this week, I would go give the slight edge to Bradford. I think you’ll get some late game junk yards as the Rams will likely be airing it out to keep pace with the Packers.

Forum Question: Which QB would you start in Week 6, Matthew Stafford (vs.SF), or Tony Romo (@NE)? (view post duncangerhard‪)

FST_Brent: I am actually amazed that all three of us are saying Romo but he is my stud so I cannot go against him. The Pats cannot stop anyone in the air and I expect a shoot out.

FST_Dustin: Gotta go with Romo on this one. He is getting Austin back and going up against the worst pass D in the league. Romo should be in line for a big game.

FST_Mike: Coming off a bye week and with Miles Austin expected to return I think you gotta go with Romo. I think this could be Romo’s best game so far this season. Stafford is a good start this week as well, but I’d go with Romo.

Forum Question: Which RBs (pick 3) would you start in Week 6, Frank Gore (@Det), Peyton Hillis (@Oak), Cedric Benson (vs.Ind), or Ryan Torain (vs.Phi)? (view post robotFOOD‪)

FST_Brent: I would love to see you start Torain as I believe he will have a good game but of course there is some risk there – I dont see much risk in terms of carries with the other three. Sit Torain

FST_Dustin: Gore and Benson are going to see heavy work loads and they have good match-ups so they would be my first two. Hillis and Torain are both a little scary this week, but I think Torain will start and could have another big game. It’s hard to bench a guy like Hillis, but Torain was amazing week 4 and I think he could be in line for another big game.

FST_Mike: Gore is a must-start this week. I have Benson and Hillis ranked very close this week and both should see around 20 touches. I personally would stay away from Mike Shanahan’s unpredictable backfield. Torain has blowup potential and a tasty matchup this week against the Eagles run defense, but too risky for me. If you decide to go with Torain I would bench Hillis.

Forum Question: Which WR would you start in Week 6, Lance Moore (@TB), Darrius Heyward-Bey (vs.Cle), or James Jones (vs.StL)? (view post mdy18‪)

FST_Brent: DBH is the play in my mind – as you probably know I am a big target guy and he is getting them as of late. All are a big play type of play so it is really tough to determine who is going to get that and since they are throwing the most to DHBay I say roll with him.

FST_Dustin: I give the slight edge to James Jones on this one. The Packers have a great matchup, and Jones has been getting more involved as of late. All of these guys are somewhat hit or miss, but I think Jones has the biggest upside.

FST_Mike: All three of these guys are hit-or-miss starts, but for me it is between Darrius Heyward-Bey and James Jones. DHB was targeted 12 times last game so he should continue to get opportunities. James Jones has really only had one good game this season and has not had more than 5 catches in a game, but he has some upside against the Rams. The Saints spread the ball too much for Lance Moore to be a reliable start.
