Forum Question: Which RB would you start in Week 13, C.J. Spiller (vs.Ten), James Starks (@NYG), or Peyton Hillis (vs.Bal)? (view post by SgtLeg)

FST_Dustin: Spiller would be my pick. I don’t trust Hillis against the Ravens, and Starks is a little banged up and he hasn’t found the endzone since week 1. Spiller didn’t look that great against the Jets, but he should have an easier time against the Titans. I think Spiller will once again be a big part of the Bills offense, and I think he will probably have at least one big play this week.

FST_Mike: For me it is between Hillis and Spiller. Starks’ health this week is somewhat of a concern and he’ll be splitting carries with Ryan Grant so he’s more of a risk than your other two options. Between Hillis and Spiller, I’d go with Spiller. I think both will get a decent workload this week, but Hillis has a tougher matchup against the Ravens.

Forum Question: Which QB would you start in Week 13, Christian Ponder (vs.Den) or Mark Sanchez (@Was)? (view post by armchairqb)

FST_Brent: With AP Ponder has a much tougher time moving the ball – I do like the fact he can get you some yards with his legs but overall Sanchez is much safer and I think a better play. He is coming off a 4 TD game and looked pretty good while doing it. Sanchez is my pick

FST_Dustin: I think Sanchez is the much safer play. I don’t really like either of their matchups, but Sanchez has a lot more weapons on offense than Ponder. The Vikings are going to have a really hard time moving the ball this week, and I could see that game as a somewhat of a low scoring game.

FST_Mike: I don’t like either matchup and while Sanchez did pass for 4 TDs last week he’ll be facing a much tougher pass D against the Skins who rank 10th against the pass and have allowed only 13 passing touchdowns. While this is not the best matchup, I still think he is a better start than Ponder.

Forum Question: Which WRs (pick two) would you start in Week 13, Calvin Johnson (@NO), Roddy White (@Hou), Michael Crabtree (vs.StL), or Damian Williams (@Buf)? (view post by tjwj36161)

FST_Brent: Calvin and Roddy – every game here on out. I understand the question but as far as talent goes these are best two. Calvin has been solid all year and Roddy is coming off two great games.

FST_Dustin: I like the potential of Crabtree and Williams down the stretch, but I don’t see how you can start them over Johnson or White. I think you have to stick with you studs here.

FST_Mike: It’s unanimous here. I agree that both Crabtree and Williams will have some fantasy value down the stretch, but no sense in taking a chance on them this week if you have the option of starting Calvin Johnson and Roddy White. Both of those players are virtually matchup proof so stick with your studs.

Forum Question: Which RB would you start in Week 13, Rashard Mendenhall (vs.Cin) or Toby Gerhart (vs.Den)? (view post by TheMusketeer)

FST_Brent: I would go Mendy as well. Gerhart looked just terrible last week and if Harvin did not fall a yard short of the endzone on one run he would have had a terrible fantasy day. But he didn’t and Gerhart got the one yard TD run. Now later in the game they gave Harvin two shots on the goalline. So I don’t love Mendy but I hate Gerhart.

FST_Dustin: I see why you are thinking about making this switch, but it’s a tough one to make. Mendenhall has been terrible this year, and even against a weak run D like KC he had a hard time getting things going. I am going to actually give the slight edge to Gerhart if he gets another start. Mendenhall did score 2 TDs agains the Bengals last time they played, but he only averaged 2.8 yards. It’s a gamble, but with how bad Mendenhall has been I don’t mind rolling the dice on Gerhart.

FST_Mike: Mendenhall found the end zone twice in their Week 10 matchup against the Bengals, but he only rushed for 44 yards on 16 carries. Filling in for Peterson last week Gerhart only had 44 yards on 17 carries, but he did find the endzone once. I don’t think either will rush for many yards this week, but both have a decent chance to find the endzone so it is basically a coin flip, but if I had to pick I’d go with Mendenhall.

Forum Question: Which RB would you start in Week 13, Willis McGahee (@Min) or Roy Helu (vs.NYJ)? (view post by mdy18)

FST_Brent: Yeah I think this is a setting call. PPR go with Helu, Standard go with McGahee. But if you want to gamble I think Helu has the higher upside regardless.

FST_Dustin: McGahee is the safer call, but I think you go with the upside of Helu no matter what your league settings are. The Jets D isn’t nearly as scary as they used to be, and I think Helu is going to be able to get things going. He is averaging 7 yards per catch and almost 5 yards per carry so far this year. I have high hopes for Helu moving forward.

FST_Mike: Not many RBs are getting the workload of McGahee so he’s a safer start due to the volume of touches. We’ll see if Shanahan keeps his word this time. If he does, Helu could have another solid game, but to be on the safe side I would go with McGahee.
