Watch: Boxer Keeps His Promise, Knocks Out Fan In Less Than 3 Seconds (Video)

| by Charles Roberts

Deontay Wilder is a very good, but largely unknown boxer from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. That isn’t so much an indictment against him as one against the current state of boxing. Unless you are Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao or one of the Klitschko brothers, chances are, most people have never heard of you.

Realizing that he needs to get his profile up, Wilder made a pledge on Facebook: If his fan page got 5,000 likes, he would fight a fan. As you would expect, that promise ultimately went viral, and he ended up adding 5,000 new likes relatively quickly.

Wilder proved to be a man of his word. Here is him fighting -- and knocking out -- a fan in mere seconds.

Wilder’s next fight against an actual boxer will come in Las Vegas on Jan. 17 when he takes on Bermane Stiverne.
