We'll have a catch-weight bout next, as Daron Cruickshank (11-2) faces off with Henry Martinez (9-2). Martinez came in two pounds over and will forfeit 20-percent of his purse to Cruickshank. Anthony Hamlett will be the referee.
Round 1: Martinez catches Cruickshank, and goes for a single-leg right away. The two separate after Martinez is unable to get the takedown. Nothing but lefts and rights from both fighters, as Martinez goes for another takedown. Martinez gives up the takedown and unloads with lefts and rights, and Cruickshank answers. Cut on the forehead of Martinez, and Cruickshank lands an uppercut and just misses a spinning wheel-kick.
Cruickshank hurts Martinez with a kick to the body, and follows up with two more. Cruickshank unloading with rights, and lands a punt-like kick to the body. Martinez comes off the fence, almost like a zombie, and fires off some strikes on Cruickshank. Another kick to the body by Cruickshank, as the ref gets props for letting Martinez stay in this one. Nasty kick to the leg by Cruickshank. Again, Cruickshank lands a kick that nearly floors Martinez and even brings the ref flying in. However, Martinez is still standing and we'll go to the second, somehow.

Round 2: Martinez going for a takedown right off the bat, but Cruickshank doing a great job of fighting it off. Cruickshank spins away and lands a knee to the body. Quick kick to the body by Cruickshank. Martinez with a left-right combo, and Cruickshank counters. Straight right lands by Cruickshank. Slower pace, as Cruickshank appears to want to conserve energy. Front-leg side-kick by Cruickshank lands to the body of Martinez. And just like that, Cruickshank lands a kick to the side of the head and Martinez drops, throwing his hands in the air. What a finish by Cruickshank, who threw his own hands up after delivering the kick and completed a standing back-flip.
