UFC 167: St. Pierre vs. Hendricks Preliminary Card Results and Recap

| by Alex Groberman

Georges St. Pierre is a huge fan favorite, so it’s no wonder that the UFC wanted to feature him in their big 20-year anniversary show. That being said, he hasn’t actually stopped anyone early since 2009.

The co-main event for this card, Rashad Evans and Chael Sonnen, features two guys who don’t routinely knock anyone out. Rory MacDonald is facing a guy who loves to bang in Robbie Lawlor, but that fight could in one of two ways – with McDonald dictating the pace or Lawlor dictating the pace. If the latter proves to be true, then that means three of the top fights on this card (at least) will be decided by a decision.

Again, there is nothing wrong with decisions, but you’d think the UFC would at least try to put some variety in.

Who knows, though, maybe GSP and the gang will surprise us.
