Dennis Bermudez vs. Tommy Hayden

Our final prelim contest features featherweights Dennis Bermudez (8-3) and Tommy Hayden (8-1). Bermudez is a former runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter, while Hayden is debuting in the weight class. The referee will be Tom Johnson.

Hayden works out and the two square off again. Bermudez with a nice inside leg kick, and fends off a takedown attempt by Hayden. They sprawl, and Bermudez goes to work on the head and neck of Hayden. Bermudez spins to the back, but is unable to get around and Hayden scrambles up. Hayden lands a knee that floors Bermudez and he goes right for a choke, locking in both of his legs.

Bermudez has one arm trapped and Hayden is attempting to secure the rear-naked choke. Bermudez never saw that knee coming, but he's able to work out, avoid an armbar with a slam and is landing some heavy punishment to the face of Hayden. Bermudez into mount, working towards side control with less than a minute to go in the round. Bermudez rocks Hayden, and begins locking in a front choke, pulling harder and Hayden is trapped against the cage. Nowhere for Hayden to go, Bermudez cranks harder and Hayden taps out.
