Tito Ortiz Wants to See a Fight Between Ronda Rousey and Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos

Tito Ortiz (16-11-1) continues to push for a meeting between enemies Ronda Rousey (6-0) and Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (10-1-1 NC). The problem is that Santos was advised against doctors to cut her weight down to bantamweight. Santos' manager and UFC hall of famer Ortiz thinks Rousey and Santos should meet in the middle at a catchweight fight.

"Just being with Cyborg and wrestling her myself, she's a big girl," said Ortiz to MMA Interviews. "To make it down to 135 pounds, it would be kind of health threatening, I think. But at the same time, I would love for the fight to happen. Let's meet in the middle."

A 140 pound bout is what Ortiz considers fair as Santos walks around at 170 pounds. Santos said a few weeks ago she was ignoring doctors' orders in preparation of a possible fight. As of this time, UFC president Dana White has said he's been unable to sign Santos to a contract.

Since Rousey won the Strikeforce bantamweight championship, which was later promoted to the UFC ranks, she has been calling out Santos for months claiming she can make the weight cut. Santos remains suspended until early 2013 for testing positive in her last fight for steroids.

Ortiz went on that he was a supporter of Rousey and hopes she defeats Liz Carmouche (7-2) at UFC 157 to allow for the fight to finally happen. UFC 157 takes place February 23 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.
