Soft, Sensitive Side of MMA: Tito Ortiz Crashes Rolls Royce, Cries

| by Alex Groberman

A very misguided picture of mixed martial arts (MMA) has been painted by critics of the sport. These folks have tried to make it seem as though MMA fighters are brute, ruthless thugs who only want to tear each other limb from limb. A certain lack of emotion, sincerity and humanity has been wrongfully assigned to fighters, and longtime MMA star Tito Ortiz is doing his part to change that erroneous image.

According to TMZ, while coasting through Costa Mesa, CA this past weekend, Ortiz was involved in a three-car accident that resulted in his white Rolls Royce Phantom getting a big fat dent. Everyone walked away safe and healthy, but that doesn’t really matter. The most interesting part of the story is what Ortiz tweeted after the fact when one of his followers asked if insurance would cover the damages to the car.

Miranda Lambert saw the sign a veteran was holding up at her concert, she immediately broke down in tears:

"Nope, it will come out of my pocket. Sucks."

Sucks, indeed.

He then added, "I cried a little because it's my favorite car but it will be new in no time."

Poor guy. Must have been a very traumatic experience to see your $300,000 ride get a boo-boo. Will you be okay? Will you get therapy, Tito? Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of need.
