Former UFC middleweight title-challenger Nate Marquardt is once again swimming in Zuffa waters, just not in the UFC.
Marquardt, a longtime top-ranked middleweight got released from the UFC last June when he pissed hot for the second time in his octagon career.
UFC figurehead Dana White wasted no time in letting him go from the organization since Marquardts pre-fight test lost him his main event scrap with Anthony Johnson.
The announcement was made on UFC Tonight on Fuel TV – According to the report, Marquardt has signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce and he will compete at 170lbs in 2012.
