MMA News: Jimi Manuwa Vacates Title; Vassell, Misiek to Battle

| by

Cage Rage UK has announced that February’s bout between Linton Vassell and Przemyslaw Misiek at Cage Rage UK 26, will be for the Light Heavyweight title. The title was previously held by Jimi ‘Posterboy’ Manuwa who has now vacated the title after leaving the organization.

Manuwa recently signed an exclusive four-fight deal with BAMMA and will be making his debut this Saturday December 10th against Anthony Rea.

Vassell and Misiek are two of the most experienced and talented Light Heavyweights in the country and had both expressed an interest in the past on taking on the former champion Manuwa.

“Jimi Manuwa was an outstanding champion for over two years, and has the tools to make it to the very top and everyone at Cage Rage wishes him the best of luck. As a result of Jimi’s move to another organization, he has vacated his Light Heavyweight title. After careful consideration I can confirm that Linton Vassell and Prezemyslaw Misek will now fight for the Light Heavyweight title in February at Cage Rage 26 live from Troxy, London. When you think about Vassell and Misek only fireworks spring to mind and I can’t wait to see these two warriors enter the cage,” said Cage Rage UK promoter Dave O’Donnell

Come Cage Rage UK 26 there will be a new Light Heavyweight Champion in town. Cage Rage UK26: The Real Deal takes place Saturday 4th February 2012 and Tickets and details available at
