Mitt Romney's Awkward Meeting with Boxer Manny Pacquiao

| by Michael Allen

Mitt Romney, former Republican presidential candidate, recently introduced himself to boxer Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao as "Hi Manny. I’m Mitt Romney. I ran for president. I lost."

Mitt Romney paid a visit to Pacquiao’s dressing room ahead of his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Garden Grand Arena in Las Vegas, reported the New York Times, which called Romney's introduction "awkward and hilarious."

Later, Romney watched Marquez knock out Pacquiao in the sixth round.

Mitt and Ann Romney were the guests of Romney supporter and Nevada State Athletic Commission chairman Bill Grady, reports the Daily Mail.

In front of TV cameras, Romney also said "I wish you good luck tonight" to Pacquiao and added "Have a great night. Good to see you."

Pacquiao was down in the third round, but knocked Marquez down in the fifth. In the sixth round, Marquez threw a right hand that knocked out Pacquiao for about two minutes.
