Max Holloway Makes a Statement with Win vs. Pat Schilling

| by

Max Holloway landed 73 percent of his body shots in beating down Pat Schilling Friday night at The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale. The decision victory was the first UFC victory for Holloway.

The featherweights went toe-to-toe and punch-for-punch, but it was Holloway (5-1) that got the better of the exchanges. Schilling (5-2) has lost his two UFC fights.

"I just wanted to show I belong in the UFC," Holloway said. "I'm still a baby. I'm just going to keep training hard."

Holloway, a native of Hawaii, suffered his lone career loss to Dustin Poirier earlier this year via submission. He stepped in as a replacement for Ricardo Lamas in the fight with Poirier.
