Late last week Manny Pacquiao and his team made it known that they were going to face Juan Manuel Marquez on Dec. 8 of this year. The decision didn’t come as a surprise to folks who had been following the situation closely, but apparently it came as a surprise to Timothy Bradley.
In response to being spurned for an end-of-year bout, Bradley, the man who ‘beat’ Pacquiao last June, had some very harsh words for his fellow Top Ranker.
"I can't believe these guys," he said (via The Desert Sun). "He didn't want any part of me. Marquez is an easier fight. He knows that a fight with me and two good legs is going to be hell.
"I can't believe it. Any champion who lost his belt, you would want to redeem yourself."

Now, it’s probably worth pointing out at this point that while Bradley did admittedly earn a ‘W’ on his record following that first match against Pacquiao, he did so in the least legitimate fashion imaginable. Aside from two incompetent judges, nobody -- absolutely nobody -- felt as though he had actually won the fight.
The stats indicated that Bradley got rocked. Everyone who saw the bout thought that Bradley got rocked. And, according to Bob Arum, shortly after the match wrapped Bradley himself thought he got rocked
So, yeah – officially Bradley won. But it was boxing's least believable win in at least a decade.
"What the public needs to know is Pacquiao, their No. 1 dude, doesn't care about his loss," Bradley said in that same rant. "You need to redeem yourself because Tim Bradley beat you. You need to come back and redeem that loss.

"In my eyes, chicken (expletive), chicken, chicken, chicken. I'm too much for these boys, man."
This weekend, Pacquiao responded to Bradley’s taunts in the most Manny way ever. At a press conference promoting his upcoming "Manny Many Prizes" game show, the Filipino champion offered this short and sweet retort to Bradley’s demands for a rematch (via AsiaOne):
"'Pag naglaro s'ya, papanalunin natin-nang totoo (If he plays [this game], we will make him win-this time, for real)."
Nothing stings more than the truth. Bradley lost that June 9 fight – we know it, Pacquiao knows it and, most importantly, Bradley knows it. No matter how tough he tries to sound in his interviews, no matter how many times he calls Manny a chicken, the truth will always be the truth.
