| by

Maiquel Goncalves (31-4-1 NC) will have to wait until 2013 for his championship shot at the Bellator Middleweight Championship. He is set to challenge Alexander Shlemenko (46-7), where the winner will be crowned the new middleweight champion.

The title was vacated in April of this year, when Hector Lombard (31-3-1-1 NC) signed with the UFC. Before signing with the UFC, he was set to fight Shlemenko.
