Lumumba Sayers vs. Anthony Smith

The first of two middleweight main card fights is next, as Lumumba Sayers (6-2) takes on Anthony Smith (16-7). The ref in charge of the action will be Herb Dean.

Round 1: Sayers gets a takedown off a wild throw by Smith, but Smith reverses things and gets the mount. Smith spreads Sayers out, locking his legs around the body of Sayers. Smith with some nice elbows and quick strikes to the grounded Sayers. Smith goes for a guillotine, but wild scramble and Sayers takes the back.

Smith drops down and rolls to get out, but winds up in a choke by Sayers. Smith with a left hook to the head of Sayers on the exit. Blood coming from the face of Sayers now, looks to be on his scalp. Exchange of leg kicks by the two, and a low leg kick drops Sayers for a second. Sayers drops Smith and pounces, folding him up but getting himself caught in a triangle choke which Smith locks up and scores the victory.
