Luke Zachrich Wants to Make a UFC Return

| by

After a two year hiatus from competition, former Ultimate Fighter contestant Luke Zachrich (11-2) made his return in successfully fashion. Zachrich defeated Nick Kraus (6-2) via unanimous decision at UVC 20.

Zachrich feels like he's in a good place after his time away from the sport and is pleased with his current life.

"I'm at a different place right now, so it's not like I have to be back there," said Zachrich. "I'm enjoying what I'm doing. I'm really reinvigorated and it's like I've fallen in love with the sport all over again. Maybe it will be a different story if I go out and win 10 fights [in a row] and I'm still not in a big show. I might get upset at myself and about my situation, but for now I'm happy where I'm at."

Before this win, Zachrich lost his last fight against Eric Schambari (15-5) in April 2010. A few more wins under his name and Zachrich looks to return to the UFC.

"Preferably, I'd like to fight two more times before the year's done," said Zachrich. "If I can go on a three-fight win streak here including [UVC 20], I think at that point it would garnish some attention for myself."
