Luke Rockhold Hurts Wrist, Out of Planned Title Defense

| by

According to a report by The MMA Corner, Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has suffered a wrist injury. The injury will keep Rockhold from making his next scheduled title defense.

Rockhold was set to face Lorenz Larkin at the November 3 Strikeforce card from Oklahoma City. The event has already lost on superstar - Frank Mir - to injury. Daniel Cormier is still slated for the main event, though no opponent has been named for "DC" to face.

Rockhold (10-1) has won all nine of his Strikeforce bouts, including title defenses against Keith Jardine and Tim Kennedy. Rockhold, his team or Strikeforce have yet to comment officially on the situation.
