Luke Rockhold Doesn't Have Too Many Fans in Lorenz Larkin's Camp

| by

The manager for Lorenz Larkin, Arnold DeWitt, is none-too-pleased with the recent rumors of Luke Rockhold's exit from a second planned Strikeforce middleweight title bout. Rockhold's wrist, which cancelled the first match, is believed to be the same reason he was forced out of a second tilt between the two at January's Strikeforce: Champions show.

"At this point we're highly frustrated," Dewitt told MMADiehards.com. "We were prepared to fight Luke Rockhold for the title regardless of what's going to happen with Strikeforce after January 12th. We've been prepared both times and this is just totally unprofessional."

Larkin made his middleweight debut earlier this year, topping Robbie Lawler. He decided to drop down to 185 pounds after a loss to Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal. The decision, though, was changed to a no-contest after Lawal failed his post-fight drug test.

As for Rockhold, DeWitt continued, saying, "If you receive a bout agreement and can't fight you should say something right away. It's not only about fighting for a title but also from a financial standpoint. It's frustrating."

It remains to be seen if Larkin is given a new opponent for the card, which is rumored to be the final one Strikeforce will put on.
