Lorenzo Fertitta, the co-owner of the UFC, offered up some upcoming fight information while chatting with fans on Twitter recently. Fertitta announced that the UFC is looking to book Junior dos Santos (14-1) and Alistair Overeem (36-11) for the UFC heavyweight title on May 26.
The card, which would be UFC 146, would take place at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nevada. It would serve as the first title defense by dos Santos, who defeated Cain Velasquez for the title late in 2011.
Overeem, a former Strikeforce heavyweight champion, won his UFC debut to secure a shot at dos Santos, stopping ex-champion Brock Lesnar in the first round last December.
