Junior dos Santos Thinks He Could Knock Out Wladimir Klitschko

| by

UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos has some of the most lethal hands in all of combat sports. "Cigano," who will face Cain Velasquez this December at UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez II, owns 11 knockout victories.

So, in a "dream" world, how would dos Santos match up with world boxing heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko? Dos Santos was asked just that question recently during an interview with the Associated Press.

"I could beat that guy, man," dos Santos said. "Maybe not easy, but I could knock him out."

The 6-foot-4 Brazilian added that he respects Klitschko, but said his style is "kind of boring," continuing on by remarking "They stay there in that safe strategy all the time. It's not the Mike Tyson time. Guys don't finish fights."

Finishing opponents has not been an issue for dos Santos (15-1), as he owns back-to-back knockout wins over Frank Mir and Velasquez. He has went to the scorecards just twice in his entire MMA career.

So, should MMA fans be worried that dos Santos could enter the squared ring of boxing in the near future?

"I love who I am, and I want to stay in MMA," he said. "Boxing is going down."
