Johny Hendricks Shares His Plan for Beating Josh Koscheck

| by

Johny Hendricks was keyed up to face Jon Fitch this past December at UFC 141, but he's even more pumped up to face another American Kickboxing Academy product in Josh Koscheck this weekend at UFC on FOX 3.

"Man, I just can't wait (to fight Koscheck)," Hendricks told Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight this week. "I thought I was excited for Jon Fitch, but actually it's this fight that I'm really excited for."

When Hendricks fought Fitch -- in a bout he was widely predicted to lose -- he stunned the MMA world by knocking the division's longtime number two flat with his first punch thrown, a looping left hand, just twelve seconds into their fight. Against Koscheck, Hendricks is looking forward to employing a similar strategy.

"Put my hands on him," he said when asked how he plans to beat Koscheck. "Put my hands on him, take him down, whatever. You know what I mean? I don't care where the fight goes. I believe I'm better than him everywhere the fight goes. And actually, I just can't wait to hit him. Put this left hand on him and see what happens."

UFC on FOX 3: Diaz vs. Miller goes down this Saturday from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. As always, FightLine will be providing live, ongoing coverage of the event.

What do you think MMA fans? Can Hendricks knock out Koscheck to pull off what only Paulo Thiago has managed so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
