HDNet to be Rebranded; More MMA Promised

| by

It was announced on Wednesday that HDNet will be rebranded into AXS TV, as Mark Cuban has decided to partner with Ryan Seacrest Media, Creative Artists Agency and AEG to expand the network going forward. In an email sent to, Cuban helped calm the nerves of fight fans by saying MMA was here to stay on AXS TV.

"Yes, and more," said Cuban, in response to how much live MMA would be shown on the network. "Inside MMA will move to our new studio at LA Live overlooking the plaza and we will have access to AEG venues hosting fights without truck pools. Which means we can do more live."

Promotions such as ProElite, DREAM, Maximum Fighting Champion and Titan Fighting Championship have been promoted on HDNet. The relaunch is scheduled for this summer and will expand HDNet/AXS TV into 35 million homes.

"This is very good for our MMA business," Cuban added.
