| by Daniel Yancelson

As ridiculous as it sounds, Floyd “Money” Mayweather will be using actual money in his $25,000 mouthpiece for the highly anticipated fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 2, reports SB Nation.

Why so expensive? Well, according to information from TMZ, Mayweather gets his mouthpiece made with pieces of real gold, diamonds and $100 bills placed inside of the mouthguard. The undefeated boxer says the custom-made mouthpiece helps him breathe better.

"My career's gone on 19 years and I've been able to preserve my smile," Mayweather said.

Whether he will be smiling or not after the fight will be determined on the ring at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, in what promoters are calling "the fight of the century." It is estimated to make close to $400 million in total revenue, with ticket prices between $1,500 and $10,000, and pay-per-view costing $99 for a high-definition feed.
