Britain’s Dereck Chisora has been banned indefinitely from competing for a title under the WBC banner, the council has announced.
The sanction includes a financial penalty to be determined after the British Boxing Board of Control decide on their own course of action at a hearing next month.
The former British and Commonwealth heavyweight titlist was roundly condemned for his conduct before, during and after his defeat to Vitali Klitschko in Munich ten days ago.
In the lead up to the bout, London-born Chisora, slapped Klitschko before spitting water into the face of WBA and IBF champion, Wladimir, during pre-fight preparations.

Chisora hit the news again in the hours after the fight when as he clashed with domestic rival, David Haye, at a press conference. Despite being arrested by police in the immediate aftermath of that particular incident, no criminal charges have been filed by German authorities.
