Dana White Thinks MMA Could be Big in New York

| by

New York remains one of the few states in the country that have yet to legalize MMA. UFC president Dana White knows a show in NY would be beneficial to his company and the state due to all the fans that arrive for the weekend activities.

"I know how big it will be in the state of New York," said White on Forbes Sports Money. "How many jobs do we create when we come in there? How much economic impact there is? Our fans come from all over the world. Believe me, when we roll into town businesses can't wait until we comeback."

White said when the UFC holds cards people support the surrounding area by shopping, eating and staying at the local hotels.

In January, White guaranteed that NY would legalize the sport before the year ended, but that didn't happen. White remains optimistic that the move will happen and wants to hold their first show at Madison Square Garden.
