Dana White Teases a Huge January UFC Event

| by

It's quotes like this that set the rumor mill a-turnin'.

At yesterday's UFC on FOX 3: Diaz vs. Miller pre-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White was asked by a fan when the promotion would be returning to Texas. In his response, White hinted at a very big fight that could be waiting for us this winter should things fall into place in the coming months.

Congress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?

"If things work out the way, you know, that they could, we'd end up doing a big fight probably in January," White revealed. "And if that fight happens, we're looking at three venues: obviously always Las Vegas is a venue, Dallas, Texas stadium and Toronto again. You know, where we can hold huge events. So, if things go the way that they could go, by January we're already talking about Dallas, Texas stadium -- Cowboys Stadium, whatever they call it."

And since it wouldn't be like the MMA world without immediate and furious speculation about the UFC boss' words, we already have a strong rumor indicating what that fight will be: Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones.

The newest hottest superfight, Silva vs. Jones no doubt fits the "big fight" bill, but both Silva and Jones have seemed at least slightly opposed to the idea in the past. What do you guys think? Do we see these two undeniable dynamos tangle by next year? Sound off in the comments section.
