Dan Henderson has defeated some of the biggest names in all of MMA. He's worn championship gold in Pride and Strikeforce. And, come September 1, Henderson will get his chance at becoming a UFC champion.

At UFC 151: Jones vs. Henderson, "Hendo" will take on Jon Jones for the UFC light heavyweight title. The gold belt is one of the few things Henderson has yet to achieve in his career.

During a media conference call on Tuesday, UFC president Dana White was asked about Henderson's resume in regards to a future invite to the UFC Hall of Fame.

"Whether Dan Henderson wins or loses, he's a UFC hall of famer," White said. "Dan Henderson is a three-time world champion, he's a great wrestler, has knockout power and has fought everyone from 170 pounds all the way to heavyweight. He continues to impress no matter how old he gets."

Henderson defeated Fedor Emelianenko in his last Strikeforce appearance before returning to the UFC. In his first match back inside the Octagon, Henderson downed Mauricio "Shogun" Rua to secure his status as the No. 1 contender in the division.
